Another set of 164 Nigerians on Friday, December 8, have been brought back from Libya by the International Organization for Migration.
The returnee were received by the southwest zonal coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Suleiman Yakubu, who represented the agency's director general, Mustapha Maihajja.
The returnees - 155 male adults, three male children, one infant male, five female adults, one female child and a female infant - arrived on a BURAQ Boeing 737 airline with registration number 5A-DMG.
Yakubu while receiving the returnees who arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 12.34 am thanked the IOM and the European Union for their humanitarianism.
He enjoined the returnees to learn from the bitter lessons they had gathered in the course of their unpalatable sojourn and make better use of opportunities abound in this country.
"There's no where like home and Nigeria is peculiar nation that God has endowed with bountiful resources that everyone can harness and prosper ," he said.
Yakubu also implored the fresh returnees to make use of facilities available for self empowerment which federal and state governments are providing.
Also speaking, one of the returnees, Emmanuel Kessh from Delta state thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for directing the repatriation of all distressed Nigerians in Libya.
Kessh who dropped out of university to embark on the ill-fated journey in August said: "I learned that President Buhari has directed evacuation of all Nigerians from Libya, I thank the President for this because the boys (Nigerians) in Libya are really suffering and lacking human rights as they are being treated as animal.
"The president's directive is very important because of the coming election in Libya, many Nigerians might be forced to be involved in the process as tools of the Libyans which can cause further disaffection against the stranded people among the various groups in Libya.
"I don't wish to hear that Nigerians are being used as human shield in any clashes between the various groups in case of post-election violence over there.
"My decision is never to aspire to travel outside Nigeria. This is a bitter experience that I will not pray for anyone suffer in life."
The returnees including females and children returned to Nigeria through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
The spokesperson for NEMA's southwest zone, Ibrahim Farinloye, said there were four medical cases recorded among the 401 returnees.
