10 killed as Suspected herdsmen launch fresh attacks on Kaduna communities

New attacks by suspected herdsmen on two communities in Kaduna state has reportedly left about 10 persons dead and several others injured.
Source report that properties were also looted and houses razed during the predawn attacks which reportedly occurred at in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state.
“The herdsmen entered the villages between Friday night and early Saturday morning and killed about 10 people,” a witness said, preferring not to be named.
The attacks were also confirmed by the Kaduna state police commissioner, Agyole Abeh.
He however stated that only four were killed and five injured.
“We have since deployed ‘Operation Dofaji’ and other police components to the area,” Mr Abeh said...

Residents said that the armed bandits attacked the village of Dangaji around 8.00 pm on Friday, January 12, killing many and leaving several injured.
They said another attack was carried out on a nearby community of Unguwar Gajere the unidentified suspects.
