Tell us about yourself. I’m
Emmanuel Martins. I’m from Delta state, was born in Lagos state and I spent most of my life in Lagos and traveling all around Nigeria and some African countries
What first got you into music?
It was a passion for me. I found myself rapping and I decided to take it up as a professional
Who inspired you to make music?
My friends in school
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
Kashy tunes and also trying to pass a message to the world
What is your creative process like?
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Well I’ve to keep that on a low for now but I already have a song with my mentor and someone and I’ll love to collaborate with
If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
Davido
What is one message you would give to your fans?
Keep supporting Yungkashys music and expect the best tunes from me
What is the most useless talent you have?
Do you sing in the shower? What songs?
Yes a lot, no song in particular I just freestyle with an instrumental playing from my phone
What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
Doing business and working to be dangote
Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?
Eko Hotels and suites
My venues are mason center, oriental hotel, eko hotel, red carpet hall so many more
How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
The internet has gone a long way in helping and making everything easy for an average artist because it’s a medium for people listening to your content and knowing what you’re doing
What is your favourite song to perform?
Oluwa cover me, Ekpe
Which famous musicians do you admire?
Wizkid, Davido, Burna boy
What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?
Going for an all night show and not having enough money for Cab back home, I’ve had to wait under the rain till dawn so I can get a bus home
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
To never give Up/ Good things don’t come easily
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be
Stopping the tv personals and radio presenters from collecting money before playing your song
