HOW I WAS ATTACKED OVER GAY PARTY CONDEMNATION - ENANG
National Coordinator of Neighbourhood Coalition,Hon. Emmanuel Enang has raised the alarm that he has been frontally harassed by persons alleged to be passionate about the practice of homosexuality.
Enang had penultimate week described homosexuality as alien to African Culture and is illegal with a strong legislation outlawing it.
But he said soon after his public condemnation of the atrocious act in a media statement,he has come under intense knock by persons suspected to be in full indulgence in the practice.
"I have been inundated with calls attacking my open condemnation of the practice, especially my condemnation of the Ekorinim Gay party where some adolescents were allegedly involved.".
Enang who was the Spokesman for the Presidential Campaign Council, PCC in the South South Zone, also said his life was at stake following threat on him to either issue a disclaimer or be vilified.
He said he has since been in hiding following the incidental threat adding that he will not cave into such satanic tendency.
"I'm in hiding for now, that's to enable me prepare myself spiritually for the challenge ahead.
I damn any consequences that may arise from my condemnation of homosexuality. I insist that it is satanic and condemnable.
The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly condemned it,and I think majority of our people especially the Christian community should rise up and condemn this satanic practice.".
The APC Chieftain averred that the practice cannot be allowed to fester in the state especially in this era where the Government and good people are poised for the restoration of God's glory in the state.
Enang maintained that a thorough investigation must be done on the Ekorinim Gay party adding that perpetrators must be brought to justice to serve as deterrent and for the discontinuation of the evil practice.
He said failure to take drastic actions against the evil and dastardly act either through public condemnation, prayer and security checks might spell doom for the state, especially if the satanic act becomes widespread.
"We cannot afford to reduce Cross River State to Sodom and Gomorrah.
We must work against the satanic practice of gay with lesbianism and either seek God's intervention or apply other drastic measures or both, to purge the state of the act before it becomes widespread especially among our younger generation."
