All roads lead to Akwa Ibom for NANTA Eastern Zone Meeting & World Tourism Day 2024 Celebrations

The Nigerian Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) Eastern Zone will hold its annual meeting on September 27-28, 2024, at Roshmohr Gold Hotel in Uyo, as part of activities marking the World Tourism Day 2024 celebrations in the zone.

The event, themed "Tourism and Rural Development," aims to bring together travel professionals, business owners, and stakeholders to network, share ideas, and promote tourism.

According to Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of NANTA, Mrs Nsikak Otuekong, participants will have the opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage and delicious local delicacies of both Akwa Ibom and Cross River states.

'Expected in attendance are all NANTA Eastern Zone officials,as the meeting will focus on networking opportunities for travel professionals, discussing industry challenges and solutions and celebrating World Tourism Day 2024.'

World Tourism Day is celebrated annually on September 27, with the aim of fostering awareness of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political, and economic value.

Mrs Otuekong expressed her readiness to host colleagues from far and nearby states to Akwa Ibom. The World Tourism Day 2024 celebrations aim to highlight the importance of tourism in rural development, creating opportunities for economic growth, job creation, and cultural preservation.
