AKWA IBOM STATE GOVT PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR IKPA UDO'S SON OF THE SOIL CONCERT

The governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno Ph.D has confirmed the willingness of the state government to throw their weight behind Ikpa Udo as he plans his sophomore concert.

The governor made the statement during a chat with the music star, Ikpa Udo on Monday, November 4, 2024 during an event at Nsit Ibom. 

In his remark, the number 1 citizen commended Ikpa Udo for his strides in the music industry and his endorsement deals, giving assurance of the state's support to host a 5-star concert for him.

Speaking to journalists after the encounter, Ikpa Udo stated that the governor has confirmed his presence at the occasion and immediately directed the postponement of the concert to a later date to ensure his attendance at the event.

In the light of this, organizers of the Son of the Soil concert, Nelson NseAbasi led Talent Bank Nigeria team and Blown Stars Entertainment conveyed an emergency meeting on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in Uyo,where the decision to postpone the concert to a later date was taken, to honour the governor, who had scheduled the funeral of his late wife for same date. 

Ikpa Udo, known for his unique blend of Efik/Ibibio dialect rap, has been making waves in the music industry. His concert promises to be an electrifying experience, showcasing the best of Akwa Ibom's music and culture. With Governor Eno's backing, this event is sure to be a resounding success.
